Message from the  Hon. Chief Minister

The ability of the mankind in organizing as a team was there from the very beginning. This team spirit became the foundation to the present programs of the world, achieved during a short period of time. Knowledge and experience   have been shared by the communities, leading to globalization. 

As a result, the modern technology is in the process of getting rid of unnecessary  obstacles and limitations in the world.

When we consider the history of Sri Lanka and the administrative structures, it is very obvious that all progressive governments including the government sector have conducted their activities transparently. The Southern Provincial  Council has been guided by these steps.

Southern Province has produced a great many of people who contributed much towards the betterment of the world. they always come forward, when necessities arise. reminding the theme; "People who invent new things, enhance the Nation". We never avoid the events of Modern Technology. With the establishment of this new web site. We would be able to get opportunities to join hands  with the modern world easily.

Through the installation of this facility we have planned to utilize information in development  and to show how the people are going to be verified. We intend to share new experiences and proposals also. Our objective is to use the web site to create close relationships of the public with the provincial council. the new facility would play as an effective media in the provincial development.

The general public would be able to understand and realize the great services implemented by the ministries, under the Chief Ministry, by using the new web site.

I wish that Southern people will find this  web site as an effective tool for  development of the province.

Message from the Secretary

I would  like to forward this massage on the occasion of establishing a new web site, by the Chief ministry, Southern Province with a view to accelerate the progress of provincial ministries.

As you know it is not possible to function alone as a ministry under the process of globalization. the government sector should be promoted along with the development of modern technology. Hence it is important to work very closely with internet facilities to achieve our objectives.

with the initialization of this web site, activities of all provincial ministries could be enhanced to meet the needs of the day. Our aim is to uplift the living standards of the general public in the province.

I bring sincere felicitations on behalf of our ministry and wish all success in the years to come. May the new web site would turn an important page in providing humanitarian service.
